Mar 13, 2017 Someone has suggested that fixing a broken USB micro port is as easy as completely removing the USB port, then cutting the USB cable and soldering the wires directly to the PC board. It seems to me this would be very difficult. Much harder than soldering another USB port back onto the board. What do they know that I don't?

Aug 31, 2018 These things work great and are the least hideous USB connectors I've been able to find. They work perfectly and everything fits together well. The only thing that was rough was soldering the USB wires to them. I ended up doing it pretty easily, but I was ten years out of practice and ruined 3 or 4 before I was back in the swing of things.
